Notes for: Mary Bodine
At first, it was believed that the name of her husband was James Bussom. This name came from a query posted by Doris Semon on August 13, 1998 at www.genforum.com/Bodine/, "Looking for parents of Mary Bodine who married James Bussom/Busson 11 Jan. 1810 in Burlington Co. NJ." The query seemed to match the information for Mary Bodine, the daughter of John Bodine and Ann Taylor. Later, Doris wrote back saying that according to Sinnott, this Mary's husband was John Moncrief. This seems to be correct.
From Ronny Bodine:
The Moncrief family was living 1850 in Bordentown, Burlington County where John worked as a carpenter. In 1860, John Moncrief was now widowed. He was recorded on that year's census as John Montcreaf, still working as a carpenter. The Bordentown "Register" of 10 Nov 1871 reported "John Moncrief, 81 yrs. old, died while being shaved in Stahle's Barber Shop, Friday morning. Cause, appoplexy."
Children: Annie (c1826), William (1827), John (c1829), Henry (c1830), Emma (c1831), Mary (c1834).
