From the Kentucky Death Certificate of William Stillwell Bodine, widowed, farmer, born 1 June 1866 in Kentucky, son of Elijah & Elizabeth (Heady) Bodine; died 16 June 1949 in Taylorsville, Spencer County of colon cancer and was buried in Chaplin. Informant was Clifton Bodine.

BODINE, William S., at his home near Taylorsville, Ky., Thursday, June 16 at 4 p.m. Survived by 2 sons, Clifton of Taylorsville and Leon of Louisville, Ky.; one daughter, Mrs. Marvin Smith, Pekin, Ind.; one brother, James L., Elreno, Okla.; also 5 grandsons, 3 granddaughters and 2 great-granddaughters. Services for Mrs. [sic] Bodine will be at Greenwell's Chapel, Taylorsville, Saturday, June 8, at 2 p.m. Interment, Chaplin Cemetery.

William and Mary Bodine were buried in Highview Cemetery, Chaplin, Nelson County, Kentucky.
