Notes for: Thomas Augustus ("Gus") Bodine
Thomas and Alice have inscriptions on the same tombstone at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Scranton, Osage County, Kansas. Buried in the same cemetery are Harry J. Bodine (1878-1954) and Hugh "Gus" Bodine (1883-1972). I would guess they were their children, but that's just a wild guess. They don't match the children I have for this couple now.

In 1880, Thomas Bodine lived with his family in Dragoon Township, Osage County, Kansas. Thomas and Alice Bodine were buried in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Scranton, Kansas.

Aug 1886 KS son, Orville June 1889 KS son, Leo July 1891 KS son, Ruby Aug 1894 OK dau. Thomas and Alice were married 26 years and had 8 children of whom 7 were then living.

1920 (22 Jan) Scranton, Osage Co.: Harry BODINE 41 KS farmer, Hugh 37 IN partner, Alice 66 OH widowed mother, Ruby A. 26 OK sister single.

Alice Bodine died 22 Nov 1926 in Scranton, Osage County, Kansas, of which place she was a resident, leaving property in Oklahoma County. Harry Bodine, the eldest son, petitioned the Court of Oklahoma County on 6 Aug 1927, to appoint Tom Bodine, of Oklahoma City, as administrator, and this was confirmed on 31 March 1928. The following persons were named as heirs on 6 Aug 1927, all to receive 1/7 share: Lucile B. Butcher, 51, of Denver, Colo.; Harry Bodine, 48, of Scranton; Hugh A. Bodine, 44, of Scranton; Georgia Bodine Heise, 40, of Scranton; Orville Bodine, 38, of Joliet, Ill.; Leo Bodine, 36, of Scranton; and Ruby Bodine, 33, of Scranton.
