Bond of 26 Aug 1822 by Joseph R. Bodine for his marriage to Gertrude Terrell. J. R. Bodine, of Fairfield, Nelson County, born in Fairfield, aged 26, merchant, 1st marriage, father born in Nelson County, mother born in Washington County AND Gertrude Terrell, of Fairfield, Nelson County, born in Nelson County, aged 22, 1st marriage, mother born in Nelson County. J. R. Bodine AND Gertrude Terrell were married 28 Aug 1862. The official was not named.

In 1870, Joseph Bodine, a farmer, lived with his family in Bloomfield, Nelson County. Joseph and Gertrude Bodine were buried in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Fairfield, Nelson County. Upon the deaths of their parents in 1870, the three children of Joseph Bodine went to live with their maternal grandmother, Helen Terrell, in Fairfield, where they lived in 1880.
