BODINE, Robert Nall, a Representative from Missouri; born near Paris, Monroe County, Mo., December 17, 1837; attended Paris Academy and was graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1859; principal of the Paris public schools; studied law; was admitted to the bar and began practice in Paris, Mo.; prosecuting attorney of Monroe County; delegate to the State convention in 1890; member of the State house of representatives 1895-1897; elected as a Democrat to the Fifty-fifth Congress (March 4, 1897-March 3, 1899); unsuccessful candidate for renomination in 1898; resumed the practice of law in Paris, Mo., and died there March 16, 1914; interment in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Seeking information on the family of Robert N. and Lucy H. Bodine. He was born about Dec 1837 in Missouri and Lucy was born about Sept 1844. They had five children, but I only know four: Clara b. Feb 1873, m. Harry Stavely; Mary, b. ca 1877, Laura, March 1879, and Robert N, b. Oct 1886. Laura married Arthur Byron Mosher of New York City in 1898 in Paris City, MO. Seeking information on Laura & Arthur's descendants or any Missouri Bodine family connected to this one.

Robert Bodine practiced law all of his life in Paris, Monroe County. In 1900, he reported that in 28 years of marriage his wife had borne 5 children all of whom were then living. Robert Bodine, a retired lawyer, and his wife Lucy, were buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Monroe County. Lucy (Robinson) Bodine was the daughter of Waltour and Clara (Moss) Bodine. See their Missouri death certificates nos. 1916-9319 and 35058.
