In Nelson County, Kentucky, on 4 Nov. 1819, a bond was taken out for the marriage of Alexander Duncan to Polly McIntyre, dau. of Mary, with Alexander McIntyre as bondsman. Witnesses were James Duncan and William Duncan. By the 1850 and 1860 censuses, this Alexander Duncan was b. ca. 1795-1805. It should be emphasized that this Alexander Duncan of Kentucky has not yet been proved as the son of Elizabeth McMakin and Joshua Duncan.
