Jared Joseph Bodine was born on May 6, 1979, in Myrtle Beach, SC to Joseph and LeAnne Bodine. Since Jared's father was career Air Force, Jared traveled extensively across the country in his childhood living in South Carolina, Colorado, California, Virgina, California, (a second time), Utah, and finally settled in Northern Colorado. Jared attended Greeley Central High School and while still in high school began working in traffic control. After high school he worked full time for a Greeley traffic control company learning the business.
Jared married Jamie Mari Groves on July 26, 2001, settling in Morgan County. On April 18, 2003, they began their own traffic control business, Roadway Safety Solutions, LLC. Jared was a hard worker and, by putting in 60-to-70-hour work weeks, the company grew and became a successful enterprise. Jared was particularly proud of the fact that they quickly managed to operate the company without debt. At one time the company employed approximately 50 people. Those who worked for Roadway Safety Solutions spoke highly of their experience as evidenced by this comment by Jason Whiddon:
"By far the best company and owners to work for. It's hard to find people that actually care about their employees, and they go above and beyond for us."
Jared enjoyed traveling with his family during the slow season (winter). They went on many trips to Florida (Disney World) and other resorts, and cruises in Europe and often to the Caribbean. When not traveling as a family they enjoyed their home outside of Wiggins, Colorado.
Sadly, Jared and Jamie separated in July of 2024, and his business operations were shut down with the traffic control assets sold. Jared moved to a house in Robertsville, Missouri and spent countless hours making it the home he wanted to retire in. He lived there until his life was taken on July 18, 2025.
Jared is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jamie, their three children; Dalen, Chase, and Kynlee of Wiggins, Colorado; his parents, Joseph and LeAnne Bodine of Greeley, Colorado; his younger brother Adam (Sandy) Bodine of Clovis, New Mexico; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his older sister, Sabrina Teasdale, his grandparents, Harold and Viola Kontz, and Doyle and Joy Bodine.
