From The Herald Journal (Logan, Uah) of 10 Feb 2015:
According to a statement from the family provided by the Cache County Victim's Advocate's Office, Hoyt, 26, had a double organ transplant in June 2014 as a result of a lifelong battle with diabetes. North Park police say Hoyt's body was found inside a running car Saturday just before midnight, along with her boyfriend Christian Emerson, 26, of Smithfield. Initially, it appeared there had been a car accident, but police say it appears to be an attempt at murder-suicide. The shooting remains under investigation and charges have not yet been filed.
