Derald Bodine, 92, of Hector, went to be with our Lord and Savior October 16, 2025. 'Bo,' as he was affectionately known, was a light in the lives of all who knew and loved him. His journey was marked by love, compassion, and his unwavering faith in God. He was a member of Hector First Baptist and an Army veteran who proudly served his country. He enjoyed writing short stories, drawing, and music. Bo was artistic and very talented. Bo was preceded in death by his parents, William P. Bodine and Edith M. Bodine-Brown; two children, Doug Bodine and Candice Dennie; and a brother, Donald Bodine. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Marie Bodine; 2 stepdaughters and one son-in-law, Sherry and Billy Turney, and Sheila Randall; step-son, Rusty Alexander; grandchildren, Jacob Bodine, Ashley Lytle, Joel Dennie, Dalton Turney, Brittany Vincent, Jennifer Burkett, Shannon Randall, Blaze Alexander, and Madison Hendrix; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wilene and Lois; and numerous family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, October 20 at Hector First Baptist Church with Bro. Ira Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the Church.
