Notes for: Emma Mae Bodine
I had her listed as Mary Emma Bodine, but Emma herself said that it was actually Emma Mae. Her Texas birth regestration lists her as Emma Mary.
As of January 2003, Emma was the only remaining child of Edgar and Alice Bodine.
Curt Cornell (cornellc at mindspring.com) wrote me with some information on this family in January of 2003. He told me that his father had recently married Emma (Bodine) Farmer.

Although Emma's birth was recorded in Texas as Emma Mary Bodine, she claimed her name was Emma Mae.

Emma Mae Cornell EMMA MAE CORNELL, 89, born February 1, 1919 went to meet Jesus January 25, 2009. She is preceded in death by: Edgar & Alice Mae Bodine and Houston Farmer. Left to cherish her memories: husband, Walter R. Cornell; children: Sam Trippie, Pat Oun, Linda Fielder, Glenda Miller, Ross Farmer along with 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 27, 2009 from 5-8PM. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM, Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Both services will be held at Brookside Memorial Park. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.

Walter Roland Cornell, 93, born January 21, 1919 in Memphis, Tennessee entered into eternal rest March 3, 2012. Preceded by: parents: George & Nora Cornell; first wife, Edith Cornell; second wife, Emma Cornell; sisters: Betty Gene Reeves & Ruth Patterson. Walter served in the Marine Corp and was a WWII Veteran who received a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a member of Arabia Shrine Temple, Aldine Lodge #1412 and a Reserved Deputy Constable of Precinct 4. Walter retired from SW Bell Telephone Company. Survived by: sons: Walter Cornell & wife Pat of New Waverly, TX, Curtis Cornell & wife Cindy of Henderson, NV, Donald Cornell & wife Nancy of Oxford, AL; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Fri., March 16th from 12PM-2PM with Funeral Services beginning at 2PM in Brookside Family Chapel. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
