I had Leo's last name as Strum, but Ronny Bodine found this in the obit of her sister Jeanelle: "She is survived by … Her sister Dorothy Sturm and husband Leo of Sonoma, California…" Ronny said that the phone directory for Sonoma, California also spells it Sturm.

Charles Joseph Mellon, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, registered for the World War II Draft on 1 July 1941. He reported he was born 11 Nov 1919 in Philadelphia, worked for Central Station, City Hall, and named Frank Mellon as his next of kin.


2nd marriage--before June 1955--FRANK ANTHONY SPINEK.
Frank Anthony Spinek, of Baltimore, Maryland, registered for the World War II Draft on 16 Oct 1940. He reported he was born 12 Nov 1914 in Baltimore, worked for the Baltimore News-Post and named Mrs. Helen Dolores Spinek, his wife, as his next of kin.

Frank Spinek, 55, a veteran of 37 years as a News American photographer, died last night at his home in the 1400 block Kirkwood road, Catonsville, after a long illness. The native of Baltimore started as a copy boy at the old Baltimore News at 15. He joined the paper's photographic staff in 1933. During World War II Mr. Spinek served as an aerial photographer with the lighter-than-air submarine patrol in Elizabeth Cty, N.C. He is survived by his wife, the former Dorotha Bodine; and four daughters. They are Mrs. Carolyn Wilson, of Gaithersburg, and Mrs. Kathleen Zalner, Michele Spinek and Marguerite Spinek, all of Baltimore. Also surviving are five sisters and three grandchildren.

Frank Spinek was buried in Baltimore National Cemetery.

In February 2019 Dorotha Sturm, 94, lived in Sonoma, California.
