Obituary, Teague "Chronicle" of 8 March 2007:
Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanelle Harrison, 86, were held on Saturday, March 3, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church in Teague, Texas.
Rev. Jeff Powers officiated and interment followed the service at Coolidge City Cemetery in Coolidge, Texas.
Mrs. Harrison passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. She was born and raised in Coolidge. Her mother died when she was only ten and rather than see her siblings split up to be raised, she took over her mother's duties and helped her father raise her younger siblings while successfully finishing school herself.
She attended elementary school in Munger before graduating from Coolidge High School. She married Lyndell Harrison during World War II while he was serving in the United States Air Force and together they lived in numerous cities and states until returning to Texas in 1975.
Mrs. Harrison moved to Teague in 1991, and became involved in numerous activities with the First United Methodist Church where she was a faithful member. She spent many hours visiting nursing home residents and shut-ins.
Her family looked forward to the numerous cards, especially birthday cards, she sent to all of them and she never missed any occasion to do so. She loved to travel and had visited Alaska about forty times. She loved to do yard work and really loved her kids and grandchildren. She was a faithful Christian and always put the Lord first in her life.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Pavlas and husband Stan and her son Terry Harrison and wife Diana all of Anchorage, Alaska; her grandchildren Luke Pavlas of Columbus, Ohio and Melissa Pavlas of Anchorage, Alaska. Her brothers Durwood Bodine of Richmond, Virginia, Woodrow Bodine of Corpus Christi, Jay Bodine and wife Shirley of Teague and Sammie Bodine of Pasadena; Her sister Dorothy Sturm and husband Leo of Sonoma, California, her step-sister Evaughn Cox and sister-in-law Ruby Bodine both of Teague, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends including a special friend, Covey Nash of Teague, Texas, also survive Mrs. Harrison.
Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her husband Lyndell Harrison, her sister Daphnie Bodine, her brother Joe Paul Bodine, her sisters-in-law Louise Bodine and Lillian Bodine, her father Sam Bodine, her mother Lena Bodine and her step-mother Mae Bodine.
Bowers Funeral Home of Teague was in charge of the arrangements.
