Here's a picture of James Melvin Bodine and his, wife Norma Jean Lane. This was taken in Kaufman, Texas about 1999. Jim graduated from Kaufman High School in 1950 and continued in technical schools for much of his working life. After a tour in the Navy from 1951-54, he returned to his former employer, WECo, Inc. and retired from same after 32 years as an installer and installation supervisor of telephone central office equipment. Though based in Dallas, Jim and Jean made many moves throughout the state of Texas and Arkansas and even had one tour of six months in San Louis Obispo, California. Their home since 1965 has been near Kaufman, Texas.
Jim has also been very much involved in Bodine genealogy. Many of the Bodines at this site came from information in Jim's files. He has been researching the descendants of John Bodine and Nancy Ann Gunnels for many years. These Bodines established themselves mostly in Texas and other western states. Write me or Jim if you'd like more info on this line of Bodines.
Below is a picture of Jim Bodine and Amber (Ohlin) Bodine. This was taken at her home in Yuba City, California in 1983. Both Jim and Amber have been very active in Bodine genealogy over the years.
From Ronny Bodine:
Norma (Lane) Bodine was the daughter of William Robert and Minnie Mae (Essary) Lane. James Bodine's sister Bonnie married Norma Lane's brother James.
