Notes for: Maria "Noc-Ges-Ha" Owner

I have also seen her last name as both Ona and Oner in some other records. The more common one seems to be Owner. They would all sound like "Owner." Per her death certificate, Maria died of "tuberculosis of the lungs." Her death certificate, witnessed by her son Jackson, also says that Maria's father's name was "Maaljaway" or something close to that and that he was born in Michigan. I'm sure that is the actual Indian name of Maria's father. Jackson did not know the name of his mother's mother.
