Notes for: Rebecca Jane Forta

I think her maiden name is actually Forta, Trippy or Tribu - not Lozier. She married a Ralph M Lozier on Jan. 25, 1875 in Ray Co., MO after her first husband, a Burnett, died sometime between 1862 and 1870. This Rebecca Jane Trippy Lozer is buried in Wakenda Cemetery in Hardin, Ray Co., MO. Somebody listed her maiden name there as "Trippy" but no source was listed. She was born Mar. 8, 1839 in MO and died on Sep. 19, 1921 in Davis Twp., Caldwell Co., MO. The MO death certificate is #22733 and the informant was "M. J. Burnett." Ronny Bodine said the maiden name is Forta.

There is a marriage record for a Ralph M. Lozier who married a Mrs. Rebeca J. Bernit on January 25, 1875. The record is hard to read.

I get her husband's first name, William, from comparing the 1860 and 1870 censuses.
