Frank 'Junior' Hill Jr., age 94, of the Mt. Zion Community of Washington County, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. A native of Washington County, he was born on July 18, 1918 to the late Frank Sr. and Carrie Barnett Hill. He was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, a retired farmer and a former employee of the Nelson County Co-Op Tobacco Warehouse in Bloomfield for many years. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene 'Buddy' Hill on April 15, 1987. On May 14, 1939 he was united in marriage to his wife of 73 years, Christine Bodine Hill, whom he is survived by. Also surviving are three nieces and two nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24 at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Loper, pastor of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Jimmy Guthrie, a former pastor. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Tim Grigsby, Craig Grigsby, Paul Hood, Bradley Hill, Billy Hill Jr., Troy Logsdon and Michael Hill. Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
