Notes for: William Robert ("Bill") Lane

He was born in Kaufman County and lived all of his life in or near the same county. As a youngster, he was known as Willie and this name was still with him at the time of his marriage. It appeared so on his marriage license. Virtually all of his working life was devoted to farming and farm operations, even after his health started to fail. He continued to farm as long as he was physically able to do so. His health began to fail by the time he was in his early 50's and the decline continued to the time of his death.
