Mrs. Gertrude Sterling, 48, of 803 Sunset Ave., died Mar. 14, 1959 in Faxton Hospital, after an illness of three weeks. She was born in Unadilla Oct. 21, 1910, daughter of Mrs. Bertha Budine Ayers and the late Charles Budine. She was married to Harold F. Sterling, Apr. 25, 1929, in St. John's Church, and had resided here most of her life. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church and its Mother's Club. Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Ward, Jr., Mrs. Nicholas Papagno and Miss Catherine Sterling; two sons, Harold F. Jr. and Albert J., all of Utica; four grandchildren, her mother, Endicott, and a sister, Mrs. Thomas Lawlar, Utica. The funeral will be from the Langdoe Funeral Home, 630 Varick St., at 2: 20 Tuesday and at 10:15 from St. Patrick's, where a solemn requiem high Mass will be offered. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Harold F. Sterling, Sr., of 2 Clyne Place, Whitesboro, formerly of Utica died December 15, 1979 in Faxton Hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 10:15 from the Ortner Funeral Home and at 11:00 from St. Joseph's--St. Patrick's Church. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
