Notes for: Esther ("Hettie") Sharp
Eula Bodine's notes were not clear, but this "Esther __________" I had here seems to be a "Hettie Sharp" Eula had listed in her notes. That is not clear, though. It needs checking. See the notes further below and those for James Milligan that say she could have been a Sharp. Some have speculated that she could be a fourth child of Robert Sharp and Joanna Milligan who did not show up in the 1790 Census mentioned in their notes. For this to be true, then Robert, who was not mentioned in the 1790 Census and is presumed to have died before that census, would have had to have died not long before that 1790 Census and Joanna would have had to have been pregnant with Esther at the time of the census.
Here are some notes by Cheryl Cessna on Esther's maiden name:
Esther named her daughters after herself and Rosannah and Joannah. This would seem to fit the naming pattern of the Robert Sharp-Joanna Culbertson Sharp family. Could this Esther be a child of Joanna Culbertson Sharp and Robert Sharp? The age would fit: Esther would/could be the youngest child, and so there may have been 4 children in the Robert Sharp family: Rosannah, Nelson, James and Esther.
