Notes for: James ("Jim") Gerrit Van Der Waal

He might have been called "Eddie" in one of the censuses.

James G. Vanderwaal fought in WW I. He married Anna Levine.

My grandfather James G. VanderWaal lived in Prairie City for many years and was an auctioneer and a city cop there. Him and his wife Anna Levin VanderWaal had 3 children, Anna Mae, James Dewey and 1 other son whom my mother is trying to locate his burial place. His name was reported to be Robert Dale VanderWaal but we can find no records of his birth of death. Anyone knowing any information would be greatly appreciated. My mom has always wanted to know the wherabouts of her other brother but parents have died. She did not know about his birth until after their deaths even. I am currently in Texas trying to help her locate his burial plot. She is elderly and I would love to grant her the wish to find him.

Note from Dave: There is no Robert Dale VanderWaal in the 1930 or 1940 US Censuses or the 1925 Iowa State Census. Maybe he was stillborn or something.
