Notes for: William Crawford Bridger

He was first found on the 1860 Census of Barbour County, Alabama. At that time he was apparently living in the household of his maternal grandparents with his brother George and his sister Martha. His grandfather, Fredrick Newton, was shown to have been born in North Carolina in 1782 and his grandmother, Sarah, in Georgia in 1787. It was also determined from the same census that the children's parents had apparently both died prior to the time of that census.
