'Nichols' and Ida Edgar were living 1900 in Grimes County, Texas engaged in farming. In 13 years of marriage Ida reported having borne 4 children of who 2 were then living. Ida Edgar remarried in 1909 and in 1910 she and her husband headed a household in Grimes County that included his 4 children and 2 of Ida's children. In 1930, the Stampley family was living in Walker County, Texas.

Children: Madison L. (10 Jan 1888), John W. (18 Feb 1890), Attilla R. (11 April 1892), Willie Grace (3 Feb 1897).
