Going by the William's birth date in Arkansas and Dossie, the first child born in Texas, the family arrived in Texas between 1888 and 1892. The marriage date is shown as 1877. They were probably married in Stone County, Arkansas. Since the first child on the 1910 Census was born in 1886, there were probably as many as four or five other children who were already married and away from home.
