City directories of Middletown, Connecticut reflect Ignaz Bodine in 1942 and from 1943 to 1946 name his wife Kate Bodine as well. Ignaz and Kate Bodine are named in Bridgeport, Connecticut directories of 1949 to 1953.
On 6 March 1947, Ignaz and Kate Bodine filed a claim with the Reparations, Deliveries and Restitution Division of the United States Allied Commission in which they gave details on family property they were forced to give up under the Aryianization of Austria. Ignaz was the son of Caecilia Bondanetzky who died in Nov 1911 and from whom he inherited the family business, Firma Ignaz Bondanetzky, founded in 1880.
