Robert George Bodine, 70, of Elk Township passed away on March 19, 2014. Born in Woodbury, Mr. Bodine was the son of Robert & Naida (Bronum) Bodine. Prior to moving to Elk Twp., he had been a longtime resident of Woodbury Heights. Robert retired from ShopRite as a meat cutter, but he and his wife had also been co-owners of "The Corner Pizz-eli" pizza shop. A car buff, he enjoyed both antique and muscle cars, especially the Corvette as well as car racing. Mr. Bodine was also a member of the Hardingville Bible Church and had served in the US Army during Vietnam. Finally, in addition to the love he had for family and friends, he loved his dogs. His wife Lane, his three daughters, Alaina Winnberg and her husband Jim, Arianne King and her husband Kevin and Alyssa Winnberg and her husband Rob, seven grandchildren and his brother Jeff Hand and his wife Sharon survive him. Both of his parents, Robert and Naida predeceased him. Services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Hardingville Bible Church, 284 Whig Lane, Hardingville, NJ 08343. The viewing will begin at 9 AM with the service following at 11 AM. Interment will follow the service.
