Notes for: Hannah Bodine

From Ronny Bodine:

In the absence of direct evidence, it is here assumed that Hannah Bodine was the daughter of David Bodine for the following reasons: David Bodine lived in Hamilton County, Ohio where Hannah married in 1849. Her birth in 1824 places her in the appropriate age group in the 1830 and 1840 censuses for whom there is no named daughter. In 1880 and 1900, Hannah Bodine Benson stated her parents were born in New York, where David was indeed born. In 1880, she and her husband lived in Eastern, Franklin Co., OH where her sister Anna Connover also lived.

From Hamilton County, Ohio Marriage Records:

The State of Missouri Certificates of Death for Martin R. Benson (1851-1927) and George W. Benson (1857-1946) both name as their parents John Benson and Hannah Bodine.
