Glenn H. Beair, 87, of Columbia died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at Nilson Funeral Home, 5611 St. Charles Road. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at the funeral home. Mr. Beair was born Nov. 7, 1914, in Vanita, Kan., to Adam and Molly Hughes Beair. On Feb. 8, 1942, he married Velma Faye Bordine in Coffeyville, Kan., and she survives. He was a 60-year member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union and worked throughout the United States before settling in Columbia in 1964. Other survivors include a daughter, Carol Brown of Ashland; a son, Errol Beair of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Ella Blevins of Coffeyville, Kan.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Velma Faye Beair, of Columbia, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007. She was 85. She was born Jan. 22, 1922, in Dewey, Okla., to Leo and Doesha Wiebeck Bordine. She married Glenn Beair on Feb. 8, 1942, in Coffeeville, Kan. Mrs. Beair is survived by a son, Errol Beair, of Columbia; a daughter, Carol Brown, of Ashland; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Beair's husband and her sister, Anna Mae Landrum, died earlier. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Nilson Funeral Home, 5611 E. St. Charles Road. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 W.
