Bordine, Orie B. Age 79, passed away on April 12, 2005, surrounded by his family. Orie was born August 7, 1925 in Milan to Earl Bordine and Helen (Call) Bordine. He married Elaine Jasper on June 14, 1947. Mr. Bordine was a truck driver for Indian Head Trading in Dundee until September 29, 1982. He then worked part-time for R. Schrock Company. Through life Orie was an avid hunter and fisher man who also enjoyed camping. Orie was a member and elder for St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter: Joann Marie Bordine who died in 1954. He leaves behind his loving wife Elaine, two sons: John (Karen) Bordine of Dundee, David Bordine of Milan; two daughters: Connie (Ron) Phillips of Iowa, Kathy (Mike) Blair of Monroe; along with 14 grandchildren, and 15 great- grandchildren. Orie also leaves behind three sisters: Ada May (Eugene) Bushart, Donna Jean (Harry) Williams, Gertrude (Jim) Stewardt and one broth er: Alan Ray (Janice) Bordine. The family will receive friends at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home Thursday, 6-9, Friday 2-4 and 6- 8. Funeral services will be Sat urday April 16, 2005 at 11AM in St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Bordine, Elaine H., age 86, of Milan, Michigan died at home Wednesday, August 14, 2013 with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 29, 1927 in Azalia, Michigan to Clarence and Anna (Kaper) Jasper. On June 14, 1947 she married Orie Bordine in Milan and he preceded her in death in 2005. Elaine is survived by her children John (Karen) Bordine of Dundee, Connie (Ron) Phillips of Tulsa, OK, David Bordine of Milan and Kathy Bordine of Monroe; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild on the way, a sister Jeanette Anderson and brother Melvin Jasper. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Joan Marie and brother Kenneth Jasper. Elaine worked for Ford Motor Company as an assembler for many years and was a hairdresser. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Milan. Elaine enjoyed decorating wedding cakes and making pillows and afghans. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2-8pm at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Milan on Monday, August 19th where she will lie in state from 10 am until time of service at 11am with Pastor Phil Penhallegon officiating. Burial following at Marble Park Cemetery in Milan. Contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
