Notes for: Susan C. Bodine

From Ronny Bodine:

Could her parents be William Bodine and Julia Smith, living in East Amwell Twp., Hunterdon County in 1850? There was no other William Bodine living in Hunterdon County in 1840. But why would she be living with another family and not her own?

1850 Delaware Twp., Hunterdon Co., NJ: Susan C. Bodine 8 NJ living with a family named Rouseville or something similiar.

In 1870 and 1880 Israel and Susan Hoppock lived in Hunterdon County. In 1870 Susan was 28 (c1842) and in 1880 she was 39 (c1841) and at her death in Jan 1896 she was 57 (c1839).

From Hunterdon County, New Jersey Marriage Records:
Israel P. Hoppock, 23, son of Henry H. Hoppock AND Susan C. Bodine, 23, daughter of William Bodine, were married 28 June 1864 in East Amwell Twp., Hunterdon County. (Book S, p. 226)

From Burlington County, New Jersey Death Records:
Israel Hoppock, carpenter, married died 25 Feb 1894 in Bordentown aged 64 years.
Susan C. Hoppock, widowed, died 12 Jan 1896 in Bordentown aged 57 years.
