... This is based on the 1896 obituary of William which names his father as Giles. The updated file on William is attached with highlights of the new data. Since it notes that Port Jervis papers should copy, it establishes that Giles belongs to the Orange County, NY clan.

It is here assumed that due to the rarity of the name Giles Bodine, all references in New Jersey and Pennsylvania apply to the same person.

From Sussex County, NJ Marriage Records:
Giles Bodine AND Mary Jane Hinkle of Sandyston, were married 5 April 1860 at Sandyston by Peter Young, J.P.

From New Jersey Birth Records:
John J. Bodine, born 1 Aug 1856 in Wantage, Sussex County to Giles and Mary Bodine.

From New Jersey Death Records:
John Bodine, son of Giles & Mary, died 24 Sept 1856 in Wantage, Sussex County, aged 4 months.

Giles and Mary A. Bodine are named as the parents of Aaron Bodine in his 1903 marriage record and Giles is named as the father of William Bodine in the latter's 1896 newspaper obituary which also names Aaron and Mary A. Bodine as his siblings.
