See Ronny's notes below for why we think this Peter Bodine is the son of Peter Bodine (1774-1850/1860). The relationship is not certain and needs more proof, but we are assuming it is for now.

1824. Peter Bodine was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Flemington.
Peter Bodine born 1803 (this Peter) seems too young to have been included on this board, but the elder would have been a prime candidate and places both Peters in Flemington.

The 1930 North Carolina death certificate of Peter Bodine (1854-1930) names his parents as Peter Bodine, born near Flemington, New Jersey and Hannah Bradley, born in England. The informant was Mrs. Peter Bodine of Flemington, New Jersey. Flemington was originally situated in Amwell Township, Hunterdon County. Living there at that time was Peter Bodine who appears on Amwell Township tax lists of 1802 and 1803.
