From Kentucky Death Records:
Hazel Marie Bodine, dau. of Redmond Grigsby & Mary Monarch, born 12 April 1897 in Washington Co., KY; died 3 Sept 1918 in Jefferson County.

On 5 June 1918, George F. Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Washington County, Kentucky reported he was born 9 April 1888 in Bloomfield, KY, that he was a farmer and married.


2nd marriage--BESSIE MOORE.

Shelbyville, Jun. 10.---Miss Bessie Moore, a daughter of William Moore of this county, and George O. Bodine, Washington County, were married yesterday afternoon by the Rev. O. B. Crockett at the home of Mrs. J. S. Hays, a cousin of the bride. [Note: In 1920, Bessie Moore, 19, was a servant in the household of Nora B. Hays in Shelbyville, Shelby Co., KY.)

1940 (3 May) Washington Co.: George BODINE 52 KY divorced Farmer.

On 27 April 1942, George Bodine of Springfield, Kentucky registered for the World War II Draft. He reported he was born 9 April 1888 in Nelson Co., KY. owned a small farm, and named Harvey Bodine, of Mackville, KY as his next of kin.

George Forest Bodine, 75, of Springfield, born 9 April 1888 in Nelson County, KY, son of Joe & Mary (Hobbs) Bodine, died 16 March 1964 in Lebanon, Marion County as a result of renal failure from 2nd and 3rd degree burns resulting from burning trash at home, buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Informant was Harvey Bodine.
Bessie M. Bodine, 73, of Washington County, died 13 June 1974 in Marion County.

Springfield, Ky. (AP)---Washington County farmer George Bodine is dead of burns at 74. His clothing caught fire while he was burning trash in his garden Monday.

Obituary, The Courier-Journal (Louisville, KY) of Friday, 14 June 1974.
Mrs. George Bodine, 73; who lived in Lebanon, Ky., died there at 7:45 a.m. Thursday. She was a Washington County, Ky., native and formerly of Nelson County, Ky. Mrs. Bodine was the former Bessie Moore and a member of Mount Zion Methodist Church in Washington County. There were no immediate survivors. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Houghlin Main Street Funeral Home at Bloomfield, Ky., with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery in Washington County.
