A memorial service for Virgil Roy Allison will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in West Linn. Mr. Allison died of causes related to age Friday in his West Linn home. He was 69. Born in Portland June 21, 1924, Mr. Allison lived in West Linn for 40 years. He married Eileen Berdine on Sept. 28, 1946. Mr. Allison, who retired in 1986, worked as a sales representative for a food broker. He was a member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. Mr. Allison is survived by his wife; his son, Jason of Clackamas; daughter, Karen of Oregon City; brother, Robert of Shedd; sisters, Urdeane Shipley of Seaside and Maxine Montgomery of West Linn; and four grandchildren. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Volunteers of America Adult Day Care, or Emmanuel Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, in Cochran & Waud for Paul Allen Brending, who died Sept. 30 at age 74. Mr. Brending was born Nov. 8, 1929, in Devils Lake, N.D., and moved to the Portland area in 1943. He graduated from West Linn High School and served in the Coast Guard. He was a journeyman mailer and later a residential building contractor and partner in Brending & Hughart for 30 years. In 1954, he married Margaret H. Tweedie; she died in 1994. In 1996, he married Eileen Allison. Survivors include his wife; sons, Robert L., Bruce A. and Eric T.; daughter, Linda S. Hay; brothers, Robert and Dennis; and eight grandchildren. Remembrances to Adventist Medical Center pulmonary rehabilitation program.
Sylvia Eileen Berdine applied for a SSN in June 1943. She reported she was born 10 Dec 1927 in Oregon City, Oregon, dau. of Harry & Edith P. (Shipley) Berdine. In Dec 1947 she reported her name as Sylvia Eileen Allison and in Nov 1996 as Sylvia Eileen Brending. She died 31 May 2005.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2005, in Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in West Linn for Sylvia Eileen Brending, who died May 31 at age 77. Sylvia Berdine was born Dec. 10, 1927, in Oregon City. She graduated from Oregon City High School and moved in about 1948 to West Linn, where she was a homemaker. In 1948, she married Virgil Allison; he died in 1994. She married Paul Brending in 1995; he died in 2004. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Allison; son, Jason Allison; sister, Doris Kraxberger; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
