DONNA CAPRI Donna June Berdine Capri, 79, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, in Boise, Idaho, with her family by her side. Born May 27, 1928, in Sherwood, Ore., Donna married Earl Downs Berdine and moved to Las Vegas in 1954, where she resided for more than 50 years. Widowed at age 32, she raised her three children, Dan Berdine, Lori Chacartegui, and Shelly Baratta, working in the Las Vegas fashion industry as an excellent seamstress. Donna was a wonderful cook with a great sense of humor, who served many large dinners for her family and second husband, Dan Capri. Donna is survived by her son, Dan Berdine of Prineville, Ore.; her daughter, Lori Chacartegui; and her grandson, Antone Chacartegui, both of Boise, Idaho; and her granddaughter, Nicole Baratta of Missoula, Mont. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelly; and both husbands, and she will rest in the arms of the angels along with her loved ones. The family is planning a memorial service in Rockaway Beach, Ore., where the family has shared many special vacations and special memories with Donna's many relatives. The family would like to thank CareFirst Hospice, and Alterra at Wynwood for their outstanding caregiving during Donna's final days. Donna's family asks that any donations be made for further research of Alzheimer's disease.
