LESTER "LES" NORMAN BODIN Lester "Les" Norman Bodin, 82, died Sept. 30, 2005 at Battle Ground, WA. He was born Jan. 27, 1923 at Venersborg, WA. A lifelong resident of Clark County, he resided the past 57 years at his current home in Battle Ground and worked as Transporation Supervisor for the Battle Ground School District. A U.S. Army veteran of WWII, he enjoyed Army reunions, hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, working in his shop and inventing things. He was preceded in death by son, David Norman Bodin; daughter, Kathleen Kay Bodin; and granddaughter, Angela Michelle Gavin in 1991. He is survived by wife, Coleen, at home; daughters, Norma Jean Bodin Kennedy of Amboy, WA and Carol Ann Bodin Hazen of Battle Ground, WA; and four grandsons. Memorial Services are Fri., Oct. 7, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Charter Oak Free Evangelical Church, Battle Ground. Private interment in Venersborg Cemetery, Battle Ground. Donations to the Charter Oak Church Building Program.

CATHERINE "COLEEN" BODIN, 81, died January 28, 2007 in Vancouver, WA. She was born September 10, 1925 in Colville, WA and moved to Venersborg from Eastern Washington as a teenager in 1941. Coleen graduated from Battle Ground High School in 1943 and had resided in Clark County and Battle Ground for the past 66 years. She had attended Charter Oak Evangelical Free Church. Coleen was preceded in death by her son, David Norman Bodin; daughter, Kathleen Kay Bodin in 1973; granddaughter, Angela Michelle Gavin in 1991; and husband, Lester Norman Bodin in 2005. She is survived by daughters, Norma Jean Bodin Kennedy of Amboy, WA and Carol Ann Hazen of Battle Ground, WA; four grandsons, Matthew Kennedy of Chicago, IL, Michael Kennedy of Seattle, WA, and Rhett Hazen and A.J. Hazen, both of Battle Ground. She is also survived by brothers, David Johnson, Jerry Johnson and Darrell Johnson, as well as sister, Judy Steigmann, all of Amboy, and by numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, February 1, 2007, at 10:00am, at Venersborg Cemetery, Battle Ground, followed by a Memorial Service, at 11:30am, at Charter Oak Evangelical Free Church, Battle Ground, WA. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, from 6:00-8:30pm, at Layne's Funeral Home Chapel, Battle Ground, WA.
