Lee O. Bodine, of Akron, mechanic, aged 25 on 7 Jan 1949, born in Akron, son of Verne H. Bodine & Alice Tharpe AND Drucilla J. Phillips, of Akron, office worked, aged 20 on 15 Aug 1948, born in Akron, daughter of Daniel D. Phillips & Arlene Price, were married 19 Feb 1949 by Clarkson J. Mayhew, Minister.

Lee O. Bodine, 57, died Feb. 8 at Akron City Hospital. He was born in Akron, and was a life resident of the area. He was employed with the Admiral Equipment Co. for 20 years, taking a disability retirement in August of 1980. He was formerly employed with the GI Cab. Mr. Bodine was a member of the Amos H. Englebeck Lodge No. 751 F&AM, the Goodyear Scout Troop, an Eagle scout, charter member of the Airscouts, and a navy veteran of World War II. Preceded in death by parents, Verne and Alice Bodine; he is survived by wife, Jeanne; daughters, Mrs. Dale (Nancy) Cochoy of Akron, Mrs. Dan (Patricia) Colopy of Akron; and grandson, Jarrod Cochoy. Funeral services tonight, 8 p.m., at the Hopkins Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, Dr. Charles Billington officiating. Burial Matamoras Cemetery, New Maramoras, Ohio, where graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may call at the funeral home, 3 to 8 p.m. today. The family suggests memorials to the Akron Baptist Temple Building Fund, 2324 Manchester Rd., Akron 44314.

Drucilla "Jeanne" Bodine, age 90, of Akron, reunited with loved ones in Heaven on Sunday January 19, 2020. She was born in Akron on August 15, 1928 to the late Daniel and Arlene (Price) Phillips. Jeanne met her husband while she worked at the corner drug store and he worked at the corner gas station in Akron. They had two daughters and she decided to go back to college. She earned her Bachelor and Master Degrees from University of Akron and her Doctorate from Kent State. She began her career in the Akron Public Schools as a teacher, then principal, and later as Director of Elementary Education. Preceded in death by her husband, Lee Bodine; son-in-law, Dale Cochoy; sister, Nancy Shewchuk; and aunt, Phyllis Garcia. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Cochoy and Patty Bodine; grandchildren, Jarrod and Cody; sisters, Janice Knowles and Marcia Rawson; brother, Daniel (Ruth) Phillips; and other relatives and friends. Calling hours are Friday 4 - 6 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. A Memorial service will begin Friday 6 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Martell officiating. Arnold Hartville 330-877-9364
