Rubin Bodine, age 28 on 22 July 1926, born in Alabama, laborer, son of Ed Bodine & Lillie Taylor AND Ellen Pettus, age 21 on 22 May 1926, born in Alabama, daughter of William Pettus & Ida Brown were married 26 Oct 1926 by Harry McGraw, J.P.

Ruben Bodine, born 22 July 1899 in Alabama, son of Edward Bodine & Lillie Taylor, husband of Ellen Bodine; died 25 Dec 1933 in Cincinnati of a perforated duodenal ulcer with peritonitis and was buried in Hillsdale Cemetery. He worked as a common laborer for the Duggen Co.

Ellen Bodine, born 22 May 1905 in Athens, Alabama, daughter of William Pettus & Ida Brown; died of a respiratory arrest on 9 Sept 1953 in Dayton and was burie din Woodland Cemetery, in Dayton.

1930 (9 April) Cincinnati, Hamilton Co.: Rubin BODINE 30 AL married@28 Laborer-Building Constr., Ellan 23 AL married@19 wife Day Work-Private Family, Ida Belle 3 OH dau, Dauneta 1 7/12 OH dau.

1940 (30 April) Dayton, Montgomery Co.: Ellen BODINE 34 AL married Housewife, Ida Belle 13 OH dau, Juanita 11 OH dau, Esther Ray 8 OH dau, Anna Delores 5 OH dau.

City directories show Reuben Bodine living in 1931 in Cincinnati and Mrs. Ellen Bodine residing in Cincinnati through 1933 and in Dayton from 1933 on. In 1934 she was listed as the widow of Reuben and appears so thereafter.
