CENTRAL CITY - Susie Bodine Shaver, 82, of Central City, died Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mrs. Shaver was born October 21, 1931 in Muhlenberg County. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was the Financial Secretary for 40 years. Mrs.Shaver was preceded in death by a son, Charles Wade Shaver; parents, Charles and Mary Jane Bodine; brother, Bob Bodine; and a sister, Emily Stewart. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Charles H. Shaver of Central City; sons, Robert (Alina) Shaver, Joe (Jonda) Shaver, John (Keren) Shaver, all of Louisville; daughters, Martha Shaver of Lexington, Kathy (Steve) Graham of Louisville, Carol (John) Moses of Louisville; grandchildren, Charlie and Jake Shaver, Mary and Charles Graham, Taylor, Luke, Mollie, and Johnny Moses, Hayden and Katie Shaver, Sarah, Steve, and Craig Liesinger; Great grandchild, Alexis Tunnell; sisters, Alexis Tunnell of Owensboro, Nancy Grise of Antioch, IL, Ellen Ruck of Charlevoiz, MI, Sally Snyder of Knoxville, TN, and Peggy Cox of Owensboro. Funeral services are Monday, December 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Central City, with Dr. Kevin Brown officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 2:00-5:00 PM at the church and after 9:00 AM on Monday. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Camp Loucon: 8044 Anneta Rd.
