BARNSBORO--The body of Charles W. Bodine, 33, of 645 Main st., here, was found Thursday in an automobile parked in a peach orchard off the Swedesboro-Pitman rd. Isaac Dilkes, owner of the orchard, who made the discovery, called state police at the Mantua barracks. Trooper William Long said a piece of garden hose was connected to the exhaust pipe and ran througha rear window into Bodine's mouth. Dr. David R. Brewer Jr., Gloucester County coroner, said death was due to asphyxiation. He said Bodine apparently died about 10 a.m. Wednesday. Long said the dead man's wife, Catherine, said she hadn't seen her husband for the past week. She didn't think it unusual, Long said, since Bodine was a long distance truck driver. Until last Saturday Bodine was employed by Norman Turner, a Westville trucker, according to Long. He said Bodine told Turner and his wife he was sick. Also surviving is a daughter, Barbara Jane.
