Frank Houston Burdine, 78, of Malvern, PA, passed away November 22, 2023.
Born November 12, 1945, in Maryville, TN, Frank grew up in the Detroit area. He was a son of the late Ben and Lucy (nee Marshall) Burdine. Frank was the beloved husband of Barbara (nee Gale) Burdine, loving father of Nancy Talley (Josh), adoring grandfather of Nolan Talley, and dear brother-in-law of Sherryl Burdine and Connie Burdine. He was predeceased by his siblings: Bob Burdine, Jim Burdine, and Mary Burdine.
Frank is a graduate of Southeastern High School in Detroit, Michigan. He received his undergraduate degree in English and Political Science from Albion College where he met Barbara and a master’s in education from Wayne State University. Frank began his work career as a Detroit high school English teacher. He then worked at Ohio State University in Human Resources. Frank also worked at his alma mater, Albion College, as the Director of Professional Management and Dean of Students. He continued his Human Resources career after leaving Albion with Deloitte, Robert Morris University, GMAC, and American Capital.
Frank was involved with the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and Rotary Club of Pittsburgh. Frank was also involved in Church and neighborhood activities wherever he lived throughout his life. He loved spending as much time as possible with family and friends in Northern Michigan, particularly in Bay View, where they owned a cottage.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation from 9:30 to 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 10 W Pleasant Grove Rd, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Memorial Service at 10:00 AM.
