Notes for: William Harvey Bodine, Jr.
From Ronny Bodine:
Believe him to be the child born March/April 1917 as noted in his father's WW1 draft registration. In April 1930, he was Harry Bodine, age 10, noted as the son of B. F. Bodine, but more likely the grandson. The 1935 Oklahoma City Director shows him as Wm. H. Bodine Jr. living with his parents. In April 1940, he was William Bodine, age 23, born in Oklahoma, married, confined in the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite Twp., Greer County, Oklahoma. The census noted in April 1935 he lived in Oklahoma City. In 1942-1944, he lived in Oklahoma City working as a presser in the family's business, Arrow Tailoring Company, but in 1944 living at the same address as his widowed grandmother, Mary C. Bodine. In 1955 he worked as a presser for Agnew Cleaners in Oklahoma City.

Juanita was the daughter of John Franklin & Nora Maude (Voyles) Overbey. In 1930, as Juanita Overbey, aged 15, she lived in Lakeside, Creek County, Oklahoma. Married to William Bodine in 1937, they seem to have divorced soon after as in 1940 William was in prison and Juanita, aged 25, was back living with her widowed mother in Frisco, McCurtain County, Oklahoma. She was noted as single. On 12 April 1941, she married Clyde M. Porton.
