Notes for: Anne (Agnes) Wycliffe
Her name and her father's name come from "A Genealogical and Heraldic History of the Commoners of Great Britain and Ireland. Enjoying Territorial Possessions or High Official Rank; But Invested with Heritable Honours," v. 1, by John Burke, Esq. London: 1833 (p. 583). There is more on the Tyrwhitt family in this book.
It is said she was a daughter of William Wycliffe, Esq. of Wycliffe and a sister or cousin of John Wycliffe the Reformer. I think that is only a guess, though.

Subject: Parentage of Agnes (Ann) Wycliffe
Hello David: I am writing to ask if you may have an idea as to the parentage of a certain Agnes (Ann) Wycliffe. She married a Robert Tyrwhitt. This Robert was about 21 years of age in 1322. She is said to be a daughter of a William Wycliffe of Wycliffe in Yorkshire.
