Notes for: Zeola 'Maxine' Bodine

From Ronny Bodine:

In a letter of 5 Dec 1977 issued by the Meigs County Department of Education: "According to our records Zeola Bodine, daughter of John Bodine, Route 2, Euchee, Tennessee attended the Euchee School in Meigs County during the 1936-37 school term. She was in the primer and her birth date was recorded as June 24, 1930. Avalee Kyker, kept the records."

However, throughout her life she believed she was born 19 Jan 1930 as her birth was never officially registered with the state. Insofar as the 1930 census, taken on 22 April, did not record her with her family, it appears certain that the date of 24 June 1930 was actually correct.
