Asheville---Jan Abbott, 91, died Friday, June 8, 2007, at home, in the loving presence of her daughter, Patryce Abbott, and beloved friend, Vernetta Cousins. Jan was best known locally, as "the Apron Lady" at the Madison County Tailgate Market in Mars Hill. A celebration of her life will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Hawk and Ivy Country Retreat B&B, 133 N. Fork Road, Barnardsville. All who loved her are welcome.
