In August 1921, Frank Berdine, his wife Effie and daughter Laura, arrived at the Port of Marcus, Washington from Canada and applied for admission to the United States.

Frank Berdine was buried in Roscoe Cemetery, St. Claire County, Missouri. Effie Berdine was buried in Bear Canon Cemetery, Sedalia, Douglas County, Colorado.

EFFIE BERDINE, 96, of Castle Rock died Feb. 9. Services were Feb. 13, with burial at Bear Canon Cemetery, Sedalia. Mrs. Berdine was born Effie Saminuke in Benito, Manitoba, on May 28, 1901. She married Frank P. Berdine. She was a pastries and salad chef for a hotel. She was active at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Survivors include daughter Laura E. Everitt of Castle Rock.
