On 5 June 1917, Harvey Amos Berdine registered for the World War 1 draft. He stated he was born 24 April 1888 in Forestburg, South Dakota, worked as a clerk in a general store and supported his father, wife and two children.
Johanna (Watznauer) Berdine is the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Hinker) Watznauer.
