Dotty Johnson passed on April 29th, 2012 at Yuma Regional Medical Center at the age of 71. She was born on October 24th, 1940 in Sidney Ohio. She received her Bachelor's degree with Miami University and a Masters a Ball State University. Dotty was a teacher for 31 years, she completed her life long passion of teacher during the last 21 years at Kofa High School in Yuma, Arizona. Dotty is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Irv Johnson; daughter, Elaine Johnson McBride of Yuma; grandson, Lance McBride of Yuma; sister, Dawn (John) Curtain of Phoenix; as well as numerous cousins, nieces & nephews. Dotty is preceded in death by her mother and father, Dale and Mayme Bodine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Humane Society of Yuma, Hospice of Yuma or Crossroads Mission. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
