Obituary, Merkle Funeral Service, Monroe, MI.
David Lynn Falkenberg was born on October 27, 1955 in Trenton, Michigan. He was one of three children born from the union of the late Walter Falkenberg and the late Leauta (Durocher) Falkenberg. David Lynn Falkenberg, age 62, of Monroe passed away at home on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Over the past 10 years he had experienced multiple health issues, but it never stopped him from having a good time. One could say, Budweiser was the brand, partying was the plan. It wasn't uncommon to find Dave around town sharing his large personality and goofy sense of humor with those around him. Dave wed the mother of his three children, DeAnn Bruck, in 1989. While raising his family, he worked as a laborer and enjoyed raising horses, hunting, and fishing. As life progressed, Dave required more horsepower. He traded in the horses for a steal pony, his beloved Harley Davidson. During this time, he also traded in for a younger model. On September 30, 2012, Dave married his second love, Dawn Bodine. Dave was a free spirit, always living life to the fullest. To cherish his memory, David leaves behind his wife of 6 years, Dawn Bodine; his three children: Jonathan Falkenberg, Samantha Cadwell, and Darrick Falkenberg; his siblings: Judy (Tyke) Rodd and Todd (Carolyn) Falkenberg; and many extended family members and friends. Arrangements were entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. A memorial service will be held on January 25, 2018 at the Little Brown Jug at 4:00 p.m. located at 7697 Bluebush Road, Maybee, MI 48159.
