Sherylyn Dykstra, 57, of Kelso died peacefully May 4, 2018, surrounded by loved-ones. She was born April 23,1961, to Robert and Darlene (Newcomer) Bodine of Rose Valley. Sherylyn leaves behind her loving husband, Lonnie Ray Dykstra; four sons, Christopher Bodine (Carrie), Joshua Bodine, Nicholas Dykstra (Lindsey), and Lonnie Dykstra (Sammy Jo); an adopted daughter, Leihanna Carlson (Brad); her mother, Darlene; two brothers, Alan and Michael Bodine; two sisters, Lisa Milosevich (Mike), and Patsy Bodine; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sherylyn was a friend to all, devoted to her family, and a "mother" to many, offering endless love and support. She was raised in Rose Valley on Bodine Road, and attended Kelso High School. She retired from King Crane after 22 years, and dedicated the rest of her life to helping others. Sherylyn enjoyed the outdoors, and garage sales. Most of all, Lonnie and Sherylyn enjoyed weekend drives into the mountains with family and friends. A celebration of Sherylyn's life is planned for 1 p.m. May 20 at the Rose Valley Grange. You are invited to bring your favorite potluck dish. Privare burial will take place at Rose Valley Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established at Fibre Federal Credit Union to assist the family with final expenses.
