Bodine, Sylvia Ann (Hazen), died July 2, 2008 in Alta Loma, CA. Sylvia devoted the majority of her life to helping those her who are less fortunate than herself. Among many different charities her favorites include Meals On Wheels, volunteering at the polls, and aiding her elderly neighbors. Even as a child, Sylvia found pleasure in aiding others. She was born on July 14, 1938 in Ware, Massachusetts. At the age of 3 she moved to California with her mother and father. At the age of 17, she met and fell in love with Jim Bodine. On July18, 1958 she married Jim Bodine in Fullerton's Presbyterian Church. Their 50 year anniversary is July 18, 2008. Sylvia was a devoted wife, a voice for others, and a kind, caring heart. She has touched many with her kindness and laughter, she will be missed. She is survived by her husband, Jim Bodine; her cousins, Francilla Goddard (101 years old), Mark Stanwood, Patty Timblin, her husband Mark Timblin, and their children Alex, Heather and Holly Timblin. We invite you to join us in celebration of her life on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 3:00pm. The service will be held at Water of Life Church in Fontana, 7625 East Ave Fontana, CA 92336.
